Before we get started, let’s be clear–no doctor, researcher, or wellness expert of any kind would argue that heavy drinking is good for anyone. And moms have to be particularly careful when and how much we drink, from the obvious (keeping kiddos safe) to the annoying (aka parenting duty while hungover—brutal!). Red Wine Might Help Your Heart
Resveratrol, the antioxidant naturally found in red wine, might help prevent heart disease by slowing damage to blood vessels, lowering LDL (“bad”) cholesterol levels and staving off inflammation (research is ongoing).

New findings from Harvard researchers found that moderate drinking, accompanied by regular exercise and a good diet could boost life expectancy—by over a decade in women. For women, moderate drinking is defined as one drink per day or less.
