Making Family Dinners Healthy, Fast, and Easy! | Richmond Moms

If your family is like ours, getting a healthy, tasty dinner on the table at a reasonable time is a never ending challenge. There are only so many meals that both the adults and the kids enjoy, so there are at least a few evenings when I’m cooking kid dinner and adult dinner separately.

Even though I work from home permanently now, and my daughter has fewer evening activities, planning, prepping, and cooking every night gets exhausting. And when we do have something going on in the evening, there’s even less time, so we end up having to grab fast food or take out. So to help ease the burden, I am constantly looking for alternatives to rotate into our weekly meals and mix it up a bit.

Most recently I found a solution that fit into our meal planning perfectly: Healthy Fresh Meals. What I love most is that it’s NOT a subscription, so I don’t have to worry about managing automatic deliveries or potentially forgetting about a delivery one week. There are no commitments either, so whenever I want to add Healthy Fresh Meals to our menu for the week, I can literally go online, select the meals I want for the week, and get them all delivered on Sunday. It’s amazing.

In addition, there are options for different dietary needs including:

  • Vegetarian
  • Vegan
  • Low Carb
  • Paleo
  • Whole30
  • Keto
  • Athlete Meal (balanced meals high in protein)
  • Clean Menu (all natural ingredients for a balanced healthy meal)

There are individual portions or family portions, so it’s easy to just grab some meals for the adults, or decide to feed the whole family. There are far too many days when I end up cooking separate meals for kids and adults, so Healthy Fresh Meals made it easy for the adults to eat a healthy, tasty meal and I could cook something easy for my daughter.

In addition to the main entrees, there are also options for breakfast, snacks, and desserts. We loved the breakfast muffins and they were easy to grab when rushing out the door any time of day. These were especially helpful because it meant that we had a more filling alternative to most of our other snacks.

The process for ordering is super simple, and all meals are delivered on Sundays from 8am to 8pm:

  1. Order meals online
  2. Get meals delivered that Sunday (You will receive a text message and email confirmation by Saturday with your delivery window and a link to track your order on Sunday)
  3. Heat and eat

If you’re interested in trying Healthy Fresh meals, they’re expanding to Richmond and will be offering meals and delivery starting June 6th! You can get $25 off your first order with code 25OFF. You can also sign up for their email list here to stay in the loop and get special offers!
