We understand many of our customers are looking for ways to provide prepared meals for their family, friends and first responders. To help meet those needs and aid with social distancing, we are offering FREE DELIVERY Mon-Fri 11:00 AM-1:00 PM. We offer an every changing menu of family meals to choose from, with a different meal offered each day of the week. Just email us with your order by 12PM the day before, and we will deliver your order to your front door. Downtown, Carytown & The Fan
This place just opened about 2 months ago, and I have not yet been, BUT have heard great things. It specializes in hot fried chicken, and doesn’t have a ton of room, but does have great food and a simple kids menu, along with crayons and coloring.

The Fulton location has a lot more room than the downtown one, though menus are almost the same and both allow kids. There is not (that I know of) a kid menu specifically, but their main offering is pizza, which most kids love. I’ve listed both locations, but the Fulton location has more room, a bigger outside patio, and has a back room with a few pinball machines. Both locations are loud and open, so noise from kids is hardly noticeable. The downtown location is a lot smaller though and is often shoulder to shoulder packed during peak hours, which is not ideal with kids.

Sandwiches here are amazing! I’ve heard the salads are pretty great too, I just haven’t tried any yet. True to Richmond form, there are also happy hour deals, a decent beer list, and some unique cocktails. There is a kids menu with some unique but tasty options (toasted PB&J!) as well as some more standard options for pickier kids.

This place is a really laid back BBQ place, that almost always has other families and kids running around. You pay at the counter and then seat yourself, then someone will bring you your food when its ready, which is nice for impatient kids. They have a kids menu, and also family meal options, both of which have worked well for our family. They also have beer on tap, which is awesome on a hot summer day with some amazing BBQ.

Both locations are usually pretty lively and loud (enough to drown out the occasional toddler squawk) and there are almost always other families there too, so you won’t stand out as the only one with small children. They have pretty decent happy hour deals too and you can get those deals even if you’re seated in the normal restaurant area, not just the bar area. There are quite a few kid friendly options on the happy hour menu, as well as a bunch of really tasty options on their children’s menu which is available any time. There are even some brunch options available from open until 2pm. They also have milk, chocolate milk and offer crayons and a menu kids can draw on.

Another loud place with high ceilings that help when you have potentially loud and excitable little ones. The do have highchairs, crayons and coloring, as well as a reasonable kids menu. The adult appetizers are also relatively kid friendly too, with options like nachos, deep fried pickles and soft pretzels.
