Megan Sullivan, co-founder of The Local Moms Network recently returned to Fox61 to share her family’s favorite easy snacks. Here are two they love:
Homemade Party Mixes
“These are perfect for bringing in the car, throughout the house, etc. My kids are always on the go, so snacks that can travel well are key!” says Megan. “We love using our Papergreats trays, which are 100% recyclable and female- and CT-founded.” (Use code LOCALMOMS for 15% off!)
Directions:
- Grab your favorite air-tight container and the favorite snacks from the grocery store.
- Mix and go! “We love doing this because I know my kids won’t end up eating a whole bowl of goldfish or M&Ms…we can mix some healthy snacks in, too. On a car trip, you can make games for them: counting, sorting (by shape, color, size), I Spy and more!” says Megan.
Mix Ideas
Favorite cereals (like Cheerios, Chex, Oat Bran)
Nuts (almonds, pistachios, peanuts)
