Recently, we shared our favorite Back-to-School shopping secret weapon—Rockets of Awesome. This mom-founded kids brand is not only fun and fashionable (seriously, we wish these clothes came in our size!) but their subscription and online shopping options make it super easy for busy moms to stay on top of wardrobe updates. Their new Winter collection (out October 5) is fantastic—bright, happy and full of pieces perfect for the holidays.

“Everyone’s first reaction to our clothes is always “OMG that is so soft!” and this season is no exception. The collection is filled with the softest sweaters, tees and joggers that are all mix and matchable, and perfect for every winter activity,” shares Rockets of Awesome founder Rachel Blumenthal. “In the collection, you will also find some fashion forward party clothes that are inspired by looks we are seeing on the runway. They are perfect for your fashionista, or just any kid who is sick of stuffy holiday looks!” she adds. But the best part? The clothes are all incredibly comfortable and high quality (read: hand-me-down material!), and made by a mom who was inspired by the stale options she was seeing. “We made an active effort to stray from overly traditional colors and motifs that saturate the holiday season. We tried to think of all the moments in kids’ lives over the winter, so you will find everything from activewear to faux fur in the collection. We wanted to make sure kids could find it all—from the comfiest pieces for cozy moments to knockout looks for every holiday party,” says Rachel.
If you’re looking to support small and female-founded businesses this holiday season, this is a wonderful brand to put on your shortlist (for kids sizes 2 to 14). Says Rachel: “It is probably our most giftable collection yet as there are some really cool pieces that kids would be so excited to receive. It couldn’t be easier to try: Choose from their subscription boxes (you’ll fill out a 1-minute quiz customizer your child’s preferences) and you’ll receive a 45% discount if you keep all the items, or shop a la carte online!
These are some highlights from the new collection:
Cheerful Cherry Patterns
“We are obsessed with our cherry pattern this season! It can be found on the Tulle Cherry Skirt, Tulle Cherry Top, Tulle Cherry Dress and Sequin Cherry Bomber (for an extra glam look),” says Rachel. She adds: “We love that the pattern is sweet and cheerful, but also super stylish and doesn’t reference traditional holiday motifs.”
Toasty Coats
“Our Puffer Coat is also amazing this season (and looks like it should cost four times as much as it does),” shares Rachel. These go-to coats are lined in polar fleece, and come in a variety of prints.
Cozy Sweaters
“Lastly, our boys’ Fairisle Sweater is super special to our brand. It has small hidden elements in its pattern that are unique to ROA and make it way more fun than any other winter sweater,” says Rachel.
